Investing a Week in My Family

Anyone else have an issue with the following statement?

“Do as I say, not as I do.”

I really, really don’t like that practice. It champions weak character and promotes inconsistent leadership.

I share this because I have a week full of blog posts ready to roll, even though I’m investing this week into my family instead of into ministry. It was tempting to quietly keep working this week.

Instead, I wrote the Conversations about Faith & Life early. You can read or download it on the Resource page.

By the time this posts (thanks to the wonders of “automatic scheduling”), I’ll be in Colorado. We have to deliver our daughter to orientation for a summer of mission work.

No, seriously. This has nothing whatsoever to do with my wife and I hanging out in the Rocky Mountains. Nothing at all!

Well. Maybe a little.

I’ll be back next week. Until then, God bless and guide,
